Thinking Space

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” - Mark Twain

Abstract 1

Due to the technological advances made possible by today’s research, it is finally a reality to be able to read books online-thus eliminating the necessity for textbooks and paperbacks. But is it such a good idea to have yet another excuse for people to sit in front of their computers and laptops? The ability to pick up a book and walk out the door is very convenient; and one does not have to worry about a computer crashing or not being able to access the e-book. With regular books and textbooks, one can fold the pages, write on them, annotate on the sidelines-and not have to worry whether they will be able to find them later. With the e-book, this may not be possible-making it an inefficient tool, especially for college students.
