Thinking Space

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” - Mark Twain

Life is such a mysterious and puzzling adventure. I often find myself contemplating and analyzing the very ideas, aspects, teachings, understandings, and over all meaning of our world. When many see this task as daunting, I find it to be fulfilling yet often frustrating and quite satisfying. The underlying paradoxical nature of life is the part I find most interesting. This is why I am a Religious Studies major. I seek to understand what religion is and what it really means. I also dabble in sociology because it is another interest of mine and serves as part of a dynamic with religion. Over all my life reaching goal is to learn and understand without needless judgment and dehumanization. I have started a business to embody part of my effort in life. My website www.RosesofCharity.com is designed as a place where I can make something seemingly artistic, turn it into a livelihood, and create a means of support for others. With this I hope to remake my little part of society and spread it to whoever wants it. Society is a product of people and people are a product of society so who is really in charge?
Hi. My name is Nadeen. I completely understand what you mean about life being puzzling and mysterious. There are days when I just cannot understand what is going on around me..And there are the days where I feel so small and insignificant. The society that we live in has changed so much over time. I feel like people don’t really understand much about love and happiness; just about the material things.
